Arden Levine is the author of Spoke (finalist for the 2024 National Poetry Series; forthcoming in 2025 from The Word Works as part of the Hilary Tham Capital Collection) and Ladies’ Abecedary (Harbor Editions, 2021). Her poems appear in Barrow Street, Harvard Review, Indiana Review, RHINO, Sixth Finch, and other literary journals.

Arden’s writing has also been featured in AGNI Online, The Missouri Review’s Poem-of-the-Week, and Poetry Society of America’s Song Cycle series, and was selected by former U.S. Poet Laureate Ted Kooser for the syndicated series American Life in Poetry. As part of the poetry community Poetry Well, her poems have been performed by Broadway and film actors at various live venues, and appeared on WNYC’s Radiolab.

Currently, Arden serves on the boards of Beloit Poetry Journal and No Dear Magazine. She is a member of the National Book Critics Circle and writes book reviews for Green Linden Press, exploring poetry collections that examine topics in contemporary public policy. Arden has served as an Associate Editor for Epiphany Magazine, guest edited for Bodega Magazine, and judged the Central New York Book Awards. Her poems have received nominations for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net.

Arden lives in New York City, where her daily work focuses on sustainable social policy and nonprofit leadership. She holds an MPA from New York University’s Graduate School of Public Service, and has directed initiatives supporting housing affordability, homelessness prevention, equitable community development, environmental justice, women’s wellness, and behavioral health awareness.
